Hi, I'd like to give you a few hints on how to get the help you need more quickly.

If you go to User Control Panel (upper right hand corner of the forum page) and click on it. Then select PROFILE. Fill in the information about what you are using to do the job. Operating System, SCAL version, Inkscape version, etc. (see example in the photo)

When you ask a question this information will be available to anyone who can help. Be sure and state what program you are working in SCAL or Inkscape....

All of these things make a difference in who can help you and we really want to help.

That looks very useful, as I filled in my sig to show what I am using it is one step less that people need to use as it shows at the bottom of my posts every time.
would that be more useful?

I agree with papasue.. A majority of the time SCAL1 users run into problems because a lot of the files are SCAL2 users.. So it does save us the guessing game as to why we can get the file to work and then have it not work for another person.

Let's keep bumping!

IS there a way to get this made into a STICKY. as it is a basic idea.
Will save lots of unneeded email traffic if everyone did this.
It is easy to forget to add the details of our systems.
